A Large Northeast Oilfield Depot

Oil Depot Quality Control in Harsh Cold

Solution details

📋 Customer Background

A Major Northeast Oilfield Depot is a core storage and transport facility of a large domestic onshore oilfield. Located in the high-latitude Heilongjiang Province, the depot bears the heavy responsibility of finished fuel supply for the oilfield interior and surrounding areas. Its operating environment is characterized by "harsh cold, high load, and heavy supply tasks."

⚠️ Pain Points & Challenges

In the harsh Northeast winter, fuel storage and transport face formidable physical challenges:

Low-temperature operation risk: Heilongjiang has long, cold winters. Equipment must operate stably at extreme low temperatures to prevent pipeline freeze-blockage caused by the cold.

Aging pipeline impurities: As an oilfield developed over many years, portions of the underground pipeline network suffer from aging and corrosion. High-speed transport easily carries rust and sediment into the flow.

Supply task pressure: Winter is the critical period for oilfield supply security. The loading bay cannot tolerate dispatch interruptions caused by equipment failure.

High access standards: Large state-owned enterprises impose strict HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) and quality access systems on suppliers, which ordinary equipment cannot meet.

🛠️ Solution

Jingyuan provided the depot with a "harsh-cold version" 40m³/h purification solution:

Polymer Rigid Composite Membrane: Using Jingyuan® polymer rigid composite membrane, leveraging the oleophilic-hydrophobic properties of the membrane material, it efficiently intercepts particulate impurities while synergistically removing trace free water, ensuring dispatched fuel is clear, transparent, and meets cleanliness standards.

Harsh-cold adaptability design: Key valves and seals are made of low-temperature-resistant materials, and the filter housing is pre-equipped with a heat-tracing interface to prevent equipment freeze-cracking or fluid viscosity at extreme low temperatures.

Large-capacity impurity interception: For the aging pipeline network, high dust-capacity gradient cartridges are configured to effectively intercept large rust particles in the pipeline and extend maintenance cycles.

Explosion-proof reliability: Strictly executing Ex d IIB T4 explosion-proof standards to ensure safe operation in the oil-and-gas-intensive depot zone.

📈 Results

The successful deployment of the system marks Jingyuan's product quality passing the rigorous access threshold of the domestic petroleum industry. At a flow rate of 40m³/h, the equipment operates smoothly, and the dispatched diesel is visually clear and free of impurities. Especially during the winter supply period, it effectively intercepts large volumes of pipeline sediment, ensuring smooth operation of downstream engineering vehicles and transport fleets, earning positive customer feedback.

Customer feedback

In the Northeast, equipment must withstand the test of harsh cold—it must operate reliably at extreme low temperatures. Jingyuan's 40m³/h system proved its value during the most challenging winter months. It effectively removes pipe scale and impurities, ensuring the fuel we supply is stable and reliable in quality.
